Blue Smoke Bar Assistant

The Role
We are looking for the right person who will have a fun fresh and inspiring personality, to join this exciting new Restaurant concept, based around a 14ft Charcoa grill, the first of its kind in the North of England. We are also proud to offer an extensive range of Rums and Bourbons to complement the beverage offering. 

The right applicant will ensure every guest has a memorable and unique experience and enjoys stand out hospitality.  This is a full time position, working 5 days over 7, including evenings and weekends on a rota'd pattern.

Attributes/Experience;
Previous experience working with liquor is essential, with good knowledge of wines, cask and draught beers, cocktails and Liqueurs. You must have excellent communications skills and be totally hospitality driven.

Bar Team Member

Reporting to…

Bars Supervisor, Liquor Services Manager

The role…

To provide a quick and efficient bar service whilst providing a congenial atmosphere for Customers, and adhering to the Weights & Measures Act, Licensing Laws, Health & Safety & Fire Regulations. You will be essential in making our guest enjoy unique experience and create unforgettable memories.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To be aware of and adhere to all Hotel & Government rules & regulations.

  2. To serve beverages and Lounge Food including Afternoon Tea.

  3. To keep the bar cellars, equipment & back of house areas clean & tidy, at all times, using the correct cleansing

     agents & equipment to do so.

  4. To ensure a full stock of items is kept and correctly rotated, through appropriate requisitioning.

  5. To control all monies and pass over, at the end of the shift, to Reception or Guest Relations Manager.

  6. To adhere to the duty rota i.e. working split shifts, bank holidays and weekends as specified by Management.

  7. To be vigilant at all times to ensure the safety & security of the Hotel, guests, other employees & self.

  8. To communicate respectively with colleagues, other staff & guests.

  9. To ensure high personal standards by presenting yourself correctly in a clean & tidy uniform in accordance

       with the Dress & Appearance Policy.

  10. To be aware of and adhere to the Service Recovery Procedures and act upon it accordingly.

  11. To report any faults and defects to Line Manager.

  12. To carry out any reasonable requests made by the Line Manager/Management
