The Role

To ensure every guest has a memorable and unique experience and has enjoyed stand out hospitality!

Working alongside a dynamic team who will be fun, friendly, inspiring and more so love what they do.

Serving customers food & beverages, keeping the Restaurant and food service areas clean and tidy at all times.

We have Full Time and part time positions available, working 2, 3, 4, or 5 days over 7. these roles will include weekends and different shift patterns.

Attributes/Experience

Previous restaurant experience in a 4 star establishment would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Restaurant & Banqueting Team Member

The role…

To ensure a quality approach to the service of food & beverages within The Windermere, Banqueting and food service areas, thereby ensuring the maintenance of high standards to both Hotel Residents and Guests. You will be essential in making our guest enjoy unique experience and create unforgettable memories.

Reporting to…   Restaurant & Banqueting Manager, Restaurant & Banqueting Supervisor

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that food & beverages are correctly presented/served in accordance with procedures laid down by the Restaurant Manager and Training Manual.
  • To ensure that the Restaurant and/or station is fully laid up with correct linen and tableware.
  • To ensure all storage/dumb waiters are kept clean & tidy at all times.
  • To be fully conversant with wine service in order to assist more senior staff as required.
  • To ensure high personnel standards by presenting your self correctly in a clean and tidy uniform in accordance with the Dress & Appearance Policy.
  • To add to the image of the Hotel, by being motivated, planning ahead and using your initiative.
  • To assist in the achievement of maximum profitability & sales by recognising sales opportunities and acting upon them.
  • To be aware of the Service Recovery Procedure and act upon it accordingly.
  • To be aware of and adhere to all Hotel and Government rules and regulations.
  • To be vigilant at all times to ensure the safety and security of the Hotel and guests, other employees and self.
  • To report any suspicious persons or occurrences in the Hotel.
  • To report faults and defects to Line Manager.
  • To communicate respectfully with colleagues, other staff and guests.
  • To respond to guests’ requests and requirements.
  • To assist in food service in the Banqueting Suite if and when required.
  • To carry out any other reasonable requests made by Line Manager or Management.
  • To ensure that the Restaurant and/or station is fully laid up with correct linen and tableware.
  • To ensure all storage/dumb waiters are kept clean & tidy at all times.
  • To be fully conversant with wine service in order to assist more senior staff as required.
  • To follow all procedural task on breakfast, lunch or dinner.
  • To complete all work on daily/shift task sheets
  • To ensure that food & beverages are correctly presented/served in accordance with procedures laid down in the Restaurant Manager and Training Manual.
